Sinigang is a popular dish in the Philippines and loved by most filipinos,There is a wide array of this dish, from Pork, Beef, Fish, Shrimp, Corned beef, down to Tuyo (dried fish), but some of us still haven't tried or even heard about Sardinas as a Sinigang..

Try this recipe and see for yourselves.

 Ingredients:

sorry i forgot to take a snap shot of the patis and the Knorr® sinigang mix (Original)

1 tsp oil
3 cloves garlic
1 medium size onion
2 medium size tomatoes
1 big can sardines in tomato sauce (Separate the sauce from the sardines)
4 cups water
1 small pack (20g) Knorr sinigang mix original flavor
2 bunches mustard greens(mustasa)

Procedure:
  • Saute the onion in oil until slightly brown, add the onions and the tomatoes
  • Add the Sauce(we want to avoid having a crushed fish) let it sit for 3 mins
  • Pour the water and simmer until it starts to boil
  • Sprinkle the sinigang mix (measure it according to your desired sourness, i like mine super sour so i pour the mix leaving only 1/4 of it)
  • Add the mustard greens until cooked.
        2-3 Servings
